Greetings and best wishes to all.
Thank you KC for finding the treasured pictures and sending them in our tribute to Brother Chen. I had the
privilege of hanging out and spending a lot of time with the Graaf while at NTU. The more I got to know him
the more I admired his humility in contrast to his deep intelligence. Being the most sincere, he still knew
how to have fun, make fun of, and enjoy little things of life. When there were things in life that caused stress,
Graaf’s positive attitude prevailed. His smile often transformed gloomy situations and helped others transcend
problems. A deep thinker and philosopher, he was very quite and modest. He seldom forced his view upon
others but always listened. It took a while to realize and appreciate what a superb communicator he was. Thank
you Graaf Chen for your friendship and for enriching my life with your association.
After NTU, our pursuit and lives lead us in different directions. It is most regrettable that we have not had much
communication since.

Dear KC & all: Thanks just viewed & saved these precious scenes with my good friend 陳亮 ! On the bright
side of life for us remainings, "Van de Graaf Generator, 陳亮 and 王禹治 called each other "果夫" triggered
my memory of linking the shape of Van de Graaf Generator to ????!!!! by our highly creative 王禹治. Y/N ?

I remember that after learning freshman physics of the Van de Graaf Generator, 陳亮 and 王禹治 called each other
"果夫", and 陳亮 in particular persisted in using the title to our amusement.

I tried to write up something memorable and pertinent about the passing of our classmate, 陳亮兄 but, alas, with my fading
memory of our Taida years and subsequent infrequent reunions with poor participation rate and far in between, I am drawing
from blank memory data banks. Hope our remaining classmates shall have more active interactions online and off-line such
that we shall have much more memories to cherish about among each other in future.
KC: Now that you mentioned it, I seems to remember the phrase "陳果夫" vaguely.

It is sad that 陳亮 is gone, the 7th from EE66! The funeral in Taipei will start in just one hour from now Saturday afternoon there.

守成兄 and me did participate 陳亮兄's service yesterday afternoon. Many his good
colleagues in
Telecommunication Laboratories also attained regardless the
very hot weather.
When I conveyed our condolence to his wife, she suddenly became very very
sad. I also felt very
very sorry. Only word I can say is節哀
Since she is a member of 慈濟, many 師兄姊 did come and 誦經. Buddha bless her and
her family.
I expressed sympathy to his son and hope he will be stronger.

Dear all: I just came back from a ~ 1 week trip to Yunnan, China & saw this very saddening news about my
classmate + good friend 陳亮 !! As we were good friends then (in NTU) I recall that he already had health
problem related to his nerve system. I also regret that, during our last reunion in Taiwan ( ~ 3 yrs ago ?)
I only asked about 陳亮 in Taipei but failed to go visiting him - turning out to be my last chance now. Thinking
back, in our highly competitive environment then he was such a mild and pleasant character to easily make
friend with BUT then quickly lost touch after graduation. Dear 陳亮, with fond memory of our great time
together & deep sadness I wish your last sole trip be full of fond memories of this past life.
